MARCS is about to begin the rebanding of the voice radios which will include both portable (handheld) and mobile (in vehicle) radios. WHAT IS NEXT?

RCC, Motorola and MARCS’ staff is in need of contact information to include contact names, phone numbers, and email addresses.  Please cooperate with any phone calls you receive as this information is critical.  If there are any questions as to validity, please contact the MARCS Help Desk at 866-646-2727

Motorola and EF Johnson are developing the schedule detailing when and where your radios will be rebanded for 1^st touch. (Almost all mobiles & portables have to eventually be touched twice).

Schedulers will contact you with time and place to bring your radios. Let them know if this will not be convenient and they will try to accommodate.

If you miss your appointment – technicians will not come back to that location.  You will have to go to their next location with your mobiles and portables.
Stationary radios (control stations) get rebanded at their location.

Make certain you tell the Schedulers where they are and how many.

Special considerations are being made for aircraft, watercraft, and any other large types of vehicles.  (We come to you)

Radios that don’t get rebanded will eventually stop working!

You may see a short system disruption during tower site rebanding in your area.

We are doing our best to keep it at a minimum and notifying you when we will be working in your vicinity.

Agencies on MARCS getting rebanded are entitled to pre-negotiated compensation from Sprint for your inconvenience. RCC Consultants is maintaining the inventory of radios getting touched on a per agency basis and will submit for payment on your behalf. To successfully execute the MARCS rebanding project, we need to identify/verify contact information – see bullet #2!
