Ohio APCO Silent Key: Sue Williams

It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that the Ohio APCO family, and public safety as a whole, lost one of the best in the business today. Sue Williams of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office passed away today just hours after having outpatient surgery for a torn bicep.

A long time, active member of both APCO and NENA, Sue served on many committees including the Conference Committee and the Training Committee. Sue worked for Putnam Co SO as a dispatch supervisor for more than 28 years.  She also served as paramedic with Ottawa-Glandorf EMS, Putnam County EMS and the  Perry Township Fire Department in Allen County.

Calling hours are Sunday 03/16 from 2p to 8p at Love Funeral Home in Ottawa. The funeral will be Monday 03/17 at 11a at St Johns UM Church in Columbus Grove.

This silent key, along with the thoughts and prayers of our membership, go out to her son Sam, the entire Williams family and her family at Putnam County SO.
